The Company holds a 100% interest in the Aguas Blancas iodine/sulphate/nitrate mine located in northern Chile. Iodine production commenced from Aguas Blancas in 2001 and Atacama product is now shipped worldwide. A phased development plan is underway to further develop the mine's iodine and nitrate resources.
The Company has also acquired a large land package in a major new potash region in northeastern Brazil. The Company currently holds exploration permits comprising 2,500 square kilometers covering the highly prospective southern on-shore portion of the Reconcavo Sedimentary Basin.
